Still early in the day over here, and while I have read the sentence correctly, I didn't quite see the position of the quotation marks, and immediately desired to expand the bragging rights list, aka hunters' stories. Like this:

„I've used Microsoft Office Automation with Visual Foxpro“
„I wrote Cobol code“
„I used strings in Fortran“
„I did date arithmetics in Javascript“
„I speak Forth“
„I still say directory, never folder“

...and the rest of the Real Programmers lore for the current decade
