Ouch... I had just once met a zebra printer, which was incredibly finnicky. The same label would print or not, eject three pages or none, print in font larger or smaller than designed, depending on which app sent it to print, which driver would it think appropriate, which wind was blowing, and apparently the phase of the moon too. Printing just that one type of label took half a day to get right.

But then once it started working, I never had trouble with it anymore. Probably because nobody dared change anything.
