Sounds hauntingly familiar. I am a lousy architect when it comes to design a brand new building,
even if it is a small cottage only.
But show me the plans for a skyscraper or huge bridge and I see the cracks / failures / weaknesses in seconds.
A friend (from the FORTH interest group) took a look at what I had created in USCD Pascal and said, "oh, you created a keyed ISAM database." I had never heard of same (in 1984).
