That's the behaviour I see, and expect. The real fancy thing is that VFP does not, because it is a windows thing. Looks like VFP (and VFPA) is handling (or not handling) a click move - iow a drag - of itself the wrong way. Sometimes it's just old. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
