>>>On my Win10 22H2 system Firefox and File Explorer maximized windows can be dragged, but while being dragged they automatically reduce to the most recent non-maximized size.
>>>They can then be "thrown" to another monitor and will restore to full screen size, but if just dragged to another monitor, will remain at the non-maximized size.

>>That's the behaviour I see, and expect. The real fancy thing is that VFP does not, because it is a windows thing. Looks like VFP (and VFPA) is handling (or not handling) a click move - iow a drag - of itself the wrong way. Sometimes it's just old. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think this controls it. (I just saw your update). I guess it's a kind of bound event to the drag. If the the window is close enough to the boundary, it's told to maximize / resize, and when dragged away to restore. Works perfect for snap on VFP, but VFP _SCREEN do not start the drag when maximized (made no sense in the days of yore) so one can not "un-snap".
