I don't see the usual "power brick" that is used for powering the laptop in that photo. The power lead plugs into the "power brick", then the lead from this power brick has a lead that plugs into the laptp.

The object to the right of the laptop appears to be a docking station. Some adaptors will plug into the back of the laptop, and others plug plug into the bottom (i.e. the laptop sits atop the docking station). If the docking station is the type that can power the laptop, then there should be a place for that power lead to plug into.
