Most definitely. Without the power tools you are reduced to dBaseII style hand coding, which I never want to go back to.

I don't use the wizards much, but they are a good start to learning because they set up the most commonly needed properties for you and get something going quickly - even if it's not what you wanted :)

One of hte powerful features of FoxPro is that you can write your own builders and wizards in FoxPro. So you can make your own design time tools that enhance the controls you produce. An excellent productivity features that I wouldn't want to give up...

For some book references, I suggest you look at "Visual Foxpro 5 Enterprise Development" from Prima publishing, and "The Revolutionary Guide to Visual FoxPro" from Wrox press.
