We've experimented a lot with SET REPROCESS and while it get changed here and there for specific reasons, in our routine that wraps RLOCK(), we're setting it to a multiple of the number of licenses for the given customer. For my test setup, that means we're issuing:

SET REPROCESS TO 60

(tries, not seconds)

We're not touching SYS(3051) and SYS(3052), so they have default values.
