I am running an application (VFP5.0) across a Microsoft Network (peer-peer) with one 'server' and 2 'clients'. When one client accesses a free table (foxpro 2.5) using a UNC on the server in optimistic table buffering mode and the second client attempts the same, I get a fatal exception IFSMGR(04) error. I have tried file locking and creating a 'flag' file on the server in an attempt to cause the clients to not access the same table at the same time with no success. Help. I have to release this application in 3 days and am at my wits end. I have searched the MSDN site with no luck. Has anybody had this problem? TIA.
