Just a thought here, that I, admittedly, haven't tested yet, but might make things easier. It's probably no surprise that I have foxtools loaded all the time. It has a number of the clipboard access functions. Specifically, I'm thinking about opening, clearing and closing. You can't use the one to set the data in this case, but the others...So if you're a foxtools user you might want to look at the clipboard functions a bit.
