I am incorporating Barcode printing into an application - TAL Bar Code provide Dll's that create the barcodes as metafiles. There are two things challenges I face. How to get a handle (Device Context Handle) to the default printer, and how to access the windows GDI to output(e.g, PlayMetaFile).

I can create an fll to access and do this via the fll, but don't want to add another layer.

Any experience out there with this area?
