I use InstallShield for installation and I have it write the
appropriate keys into the registry. I posted them here before...


You need three keys in the registry:


HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\hbp.File\shell\open\command

Value = d:\wwhelp\wwHelp.exe "%1"

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\hbp.File\DefaultIcon

Value = d:\wwhelp\wwhelp.exe,0


HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.hbp

Value: hbp.File


where hbp is the extension to set up

If you do this with VFP you have to build the entire tree
structure even though there's only a value at the end
of the tree.
