Short of using SQL PassThrough (SPT) - and using constructs like Alter Table - I am not aware of any other method. SQL Server can be controlled via automation - but I have not spent time investigating how powerul the interface is.

VB and some other tools in VS have capacity to do what you want visually via OLE-DB. Access 2000 will be a great front-end for SQL Server when it ships. I agree it would be nice to have those capabilities in VFP.
