Thanks for your help. Yes, VFP is seeing the v_databasename.notes as being changed, even though I didn't change the content of the notes. I traced down to the row-buffer GETFLDSTATE function and found out if I have the data in the NOTES field than it always marked as "2" means being changed. I still don't know why? Thanks again.
