Actually Richard, I have never seet screen = off not work except when VFP is not actually reading the config.fpw file you think it is. Could there be another config.fpw file somewhere in you application's path that VFP is reading instead.
Also, if you actually typed "sreen" instead of "screen", it probably would have an effect.
