My team of 8 programmers are an extremely talented FP2.6/DOS group. We've pushed the language to its limits and have done many things above and beyond what it was intended for. In our search for a framework, we decided to use Visual MaxFrame Professional (VMP) because it is better geared for the "old" folks who are trying to get into OOP concepts but aren't ready to drown in it. It uses OOP where OOP makes good sense and uses procedural-style code where it makes sense. We've been impressed with it so far and it provides lots of ability to use your own techniques if you don't like the way the framework uses them (for example, we developed our own intricate security system that we have simply plugged on top of the framework's system--their security is very good by the way).

If you decide to take a look at this, I'd strongly recommend using VMP 4.0 instead of their 3.0 version. 4.0 is still a beta product but significantly better than the 3.0 version and doesn't have old VFP3 code hanging around in it.

Their website is at http://www.maxlink.com/vmpmain.htm

Good luck in your decision making!
