>>>>>>If I were M$ I'd hire the Goodyear blimp & hover it over her house flashing the letters "RTFMA". It really is a case of failure to read the manual. Do you suppose that she's about to be sued by her client(s) and is trying to pass the buck?

>>>I was in Australia recently. One of the first things I saw on Television there was the episode of The Simpsons which took place in Australia (including lots of VERY BROAD stereotypes). I'm glad to see that Australians indeed have a sense of humor about themselves (if they didn't, that episode would be intolerable).

>>They're very popular here. My kids have been watching since they began, what 8 years?? That episode did cause some comment amongst the people here :-) But you're right, in general we can certainly laugh at ourselves.

>>While I'm here; Merry Christmas all, no matter your beliefs (you wouldn't believe mine!). Thankyou for all the wonderful help and support.

>I know Australia only from National Geographic Explorer and the Simpson's, but that episode made me laugh hard. Especially when Marge is trying to ask for coffee and the bartender keeps going "Beer? .. Beeeer .. B-e-e-r!"

LOL. I had the opposite problem in NY. I was asking for a diet coke. Took 5 mins to eventually get accross that I wanted some sort of Coke. They called the entire staff of 6 over to me to listen. I then had to point at the dispensing tap to finally get my choice. Apparently it's pronounced.
Dye-ette coeke. Took a while to master. :-)
