Title:
Microsoft Fax versus Windows 98
I run two Microsoft networks, one in each of our offices in Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio. I use a file server for ACT Contact Manager and another server as the fax server, in each of the offices. Up until now, I have used Microsoft Fax which I installed from Windows 95. One of the reasons I chose Microsoft Fax was because it would allow my users, while in ACT, to fax out large numbers of mail-merged marketing letters and the other third-party fax products I tried would only permit them to fax one-at-a-time.
I recently installed a new PC in Cincinnati which has Windows 98, to replace the older unit I had been using there as the fax server. I cannot find Microsoft Fax on Windows 98. Is it on there?
One of my service techs said he thought I had to install it from Microsoft Office 97 but I don't see it there either . . . do I need to purchase a third party faxing software?
