it is irrelevant that the relationship is one to many, the relationship gets its cardinality fromt he type of indexes involved. The one to many setting makes the child side of the relationship the controlling record pointer and grids and browses will show *'s for the phantom paretn records for each relaed child.

If you simply remove the one to many setting your grid will work the way you want it to.
