And your point is well taken. We haven't developed any new proprietary front-ends in over a year. Everyone wants their apps intranet or internet or both. The low maintenance alone is a great reason (Overworked System Administrator: "You want me to install this 20MB exe plus libraries on how many machines?!?"). And if you can dictate IE as the browser, there isn't a whole lot presentation wise you can do in VB or VFP that you can't do in the browser.

I guess Jim will get to yell at me too! %^}

>Nice points. I guess my main point is that there is a dwindling compelling need for proprietary front-ends such as those in VB and VFP. Scary, but true. Now I'll probably have Jim N. yelling at me ;-D
"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons." - Douglas Adams
