regarding VFP future in Israel, the hebrew edition of VFP5.0 should be release real soon now.
As you very well know hebrew posses many problems for development
I wouldn't think MS would invest the time and money for a dead horse

VFP is positioned against Delphi and Power Builder, it is great as a DB in itself - but if you (your client) thinks Client/Server solution is what he needs than VFP can do that as well - and very good
