I'm sorta coming in on the middle of this, but VBPJ had an article last month on using the LogonUser() API call. It looks like this is what your using, you may want to pick it up if your having problems. If I remember, you must run it on an NT machine with a user that has "Interact with operating system" priviledges or the call will return an error code.
