We have two forms that are using the same table. Both forms have Private Data Sessions. When Form 1 loads Form 2, we get the "File in use" error. Should not Form 2 simply USE AGAIN? Is the Private Data Session really only applicable to mutiple instances of the same form?

I know that we could have created form sets to have a common data environment for these related forms. However, I personally find these cumbersome to maintain and would rather avoid them.

We have our work around in place, closing the tables programatically prior to calling the other form. IMHO, the Private Data Sessions should encapsulate the data within the form. Would this not be more in line with OOP? Two forms that use the same tables should not have such a conflict.

Perhaps someone could educate us further on this... BTW, this is VFP 6.
