How about just creating an ODBC connection to your original data? Will that work, or do you have to create those temp files to report from? If you stick with Fox2x, though, I'd suggest using Crystal's native DBF handling, rather than going through ODBC: that will just slow you down.

To track down the error, what happens if you suspend after you create the temp files and try to view the report from within CR, rather than using the ActiveX object?
