I am looking for a DOS application which I can use from FoxPro [2.6 DOS :~(] that will enable me to perform FTP downloads and uploads.

To put is short, the application downloads a set of files from a FTP server and uploads a set of files to the server, in predefined directories, and creates log files which will enable my application to monitor the success of the process.

To be more detailed, the process should be something like :
1) Login to a specified FTP-Server (The dial-up connection to the ISP is established before).
2) Change to a specified directory on the server.
3) Check for the existence of specified files.
4) Download the files, if they exist, to a specified local path.
5) Create a log file indicating the download status (e.g.: File not found, Success, Fail)
6) Upload specified files from the local directory to the server directory.
7) Create a log file indicating the upload status.
8) If possible, the log files should be created also in the server.

The files to download and upload and the related directories are not constant, they should be passed to the application as parameters.
The parameters should include : Server address, Login information, Path on the server, Local path, Files to download (for example: ToRafi.*), Files to upload (for ex. FromRafi.*)

I have tried to implement this using a DOS FTP client which runs a generated script. Although I managed to make it work, I'm not happy with the results, especially with the limited ability to monitor the success of the process.

If you know of any application that fully or partly fits my descriptions, please let me know.

Thanks,
