Michael, you should be able to do what you are trying to do, so yes, you are probably doing something wrong. But I won't get into that... :-)

IMHO, moving from p-views to relationships in the DE is a step in the wrong direction. When I first started building 1-M forms I was doing it with relationsships. I soon ran into many complications and VFP quirks. I found (mostly through answers from people here) workarounds to most of them, but every reply came with the advice to go to pviews. I after I finally heeded the advice, I never looked back, because in the long run pviews are easier, more powerful, flexible and definitely more dependable.
