Keep in mind the update is coming sooner rather than later. Once in place VFP will have the same functionality as VB in terms of COM threading model support.

If you think VFP is better suited for the job at hand (in application terms)
you can use it now (it'll work just fine, but block) and get the multi-threaded apartment runtime when the service pack/update ships. It'll be in the next VStudio update/SP most likely...
