The info.msk seems to be invalid. The mask is all black. This makes it so that the gray outer area of the bmp shows up as gray. If the mask is black over the 'real' picture and white everywhere else, it will show through correctly.

No you haven't...I checked this out and there are several .msks that have too much area blacked out. I'll fix this in the next version of the Framework. In the interim, check your e-mail for a message I'll be sending to you directly.
