There is a an automation server that you can use to do this. Do a find on your computer and look for crystal explorer. I use explorer as my search criteria. This allows you to control crystal reports from your application. Make sure you have save data with report unchecked in your file menu for the report.

Jeremy Weidig is currently using this and helping me figure out how it works. He is a good person to ask questions about this subject. So far it seems really cool.
