Hi Dan,
>I want to use the added functionality in 6.0 that enables you to get a project object and add files to the project programitically. Wondered if the PJX was backward compatible.
The PJX is backward compatible. You can create or modify a PJX file in VFP 6 and open it in VFP 5. But there's another possibility in VFP 5. Even when the project manager is open you can USE the project file and add the necessary records for the files. In fact you only have to fill a few fields, that is Name, Type, Exclude, Local and Key. After a recompile, VFP adds the rest automatically.
