Thanks for your reply. I swear I saw someone do this once. Some sequence like selecting the source text box in the property sheet, pressing control-x, selecting the destination grid column in the property sheet, clicking on the form title bar, and pressing control-c. (This sequence does not work!) I guess I'll put in in the unsolved vfp mysteries box for now ...
