As John suggests, this may be a video driver issue. Take a look at KB article #Q95232 (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q95/2/32.asp?FR=0) since it does list another ATI card which is known to be problematic. You can easily check to see if this is the problem by switching to a standard Windows driver such as VGA or Super VGA and retesting your code. If you are still having problems, then feel free to send me a code sample.
