Brenda,

I'm not sure what to tell you. I just copied an old FPW2.6 report to a new folder and opened it in VFP5, it launched the convert dialog, I clicked convert and it converted just fine. I copied the same report to another folder and double clicked it in explorer, VFP6 launched and fired up it's convertor and it too ran without error.

Are you using the SP3 version of VFP5? You should have version(1) showing build 0415. Other than that you may have to finish hacking the converter source.

I just thought of something. What is your SET("UDFPARMS")? if it's not the default of VALUE I've seen stuff like the CrossTab program fail miserably with oddball errors on parameters.

>Sorry. Obviously I was not on the original team, nor have I been a Foxpro programmer for very long. It is FP 2.6 (windows). The frx platform says "WINDOWS". Looked in the registry and saw "Visual Foxpro.Report.5". Underneath that is a shell folder. Unfortunately I do not know enough about the registry to know what argument is passed when an .frx is launched. Double clicked everything under Report.5, but all that kept showing was Default.
