Everything Microsoft considers "high end" gets ported to the Alpha CPU because the chip runs rings around comparable x86 processors, like double in most cases. So NT, IIS, MTS, C++, VB, VIDE, RRAS, Proxy Server, etcetcetcetc all exist on the Alpha and get simultaneous release on both platforms. Unfortunately, MS doesn't consider VFP "high end", but that's another story..... Anyway, I have succesfully put VFP databases on Alpha servers and used ODBC on x86 PCs to read the data.
I was thinking that that a VFP database could rest on the Alpha, and IE4 users on x86 PCs (with the latest ODBC drivers installed) could query the data.

>>>I have VFP6 of course, and an Alpha server with IIS4 and the latest Perl for Win32, IIS4. I would rather not use MTS if I can help it, I am just starting out.

>>>Where do I begin? Tutorials, etc? I'd like to begin real simple and grow up from there.
