Well, its a mystery so far. I have removed the object from a page in a pageframe on a form to the form itself to see if that had any effect. Nothing.
Now I am tracking down the destroy of each object in the container to see if it is slowing things down.
So far, nothing found, and its still taking 24+ seconds to remove the object.
