Rich and Christoff,
I do have a grid on the calling form and it is bound to the same table. It is a simple lookup grid showing a user entered 3 byte code and a 35 byte description. The only other field in the table is a hidden key. While in the grid the user can hit enter to select a record, Esc to return to the MAIN form with 8 tables and lots of fields on the screen, or Add which runs the new form with only the two fields. When the new form appears the two fields should be blank but show the record they were on in the grid. I tried refresh() but it didn't seem to make any difference. Could be where I put it.
