This isn't an answer to your question, but Crystal recommends that we not use the ActiveX control anymore: support will go away eventually. Try using the Automation Server: there have been recent threads explaining what to do. Of course, if the OCX won't work, the Automation Server might not either....

Try uninstall/reinstall. I know it's not an ideal answer, but...
