Title:
Linking to Visual Foxpro Tables
We have a client that setup numerous queries and reports in Access97 to gather information from Foxpro ver. 2.6 files. When we upgraded their Foxpro system to Visual Foxpro, the connections were invalid and we had to relink all of the tables using ODBC Databases connection with the Visual Foxpro Tables (not sharable).dsn. Now they get errors if the tables are being used (shared) by users in the Visual Foxpro System. Does the "not sharable" mean that only one person can be using the table Access97 or does it mean that the Access97 link needs the table exlusive? Our client needs to have access to the Visual Foxpro system and it is a major interruption to them to ask that everyone get out of the system while someone runs the Access97 queries. Any ideas?
