In addition to the two automation objects mentioned by Eric, the Scripting.FileSystemObject is available. You can also spawn scripts for execution under WSCRIPT.EXE using the CreateProcess() API call; you can download a VCX that I wrote that uses CreateProcess() to launch applications here on UT.
