There is support for multiple monitors in NT 4.0; not all video cards are supported. The one setup I've used successfully was dual Matrox Mystique 220 video adapters under SP3 and the MGA PowerDesk drivers.

The WinNT 5 beta has much wider support for multiple monitors, including support for both AGP and PCI adapters in the same machine.
