xCase has a versioning number that gets incremented by one each time you save your model. Since it stores its information in several DBF's the version comparison resorts to a comparison between tables. But I don't do this.

For middle sized projects and up I keep track of the table structures in an analysis document where I give the description of each field and what it's supposed to do. This file is always up to date.

I keep track of the major changes in a CHANGE.TXT file that I add to every project.
