Nope, it's registered just fine at the client end. I suspect now that the version of the .ocx is different between my system and there's since my mscomm32.ocx is dated 6 months ago. (Must have come out of the new installation) Why should a new version matter is the public interface interface of an ocx is compatible???
Client has reverted to older .exe and all is fine. Will try new version again at close of business in 8 hours.
