So when I run this all 8 records are visible in whole. So if I highlight the 8th row, and then push the Down Arrow, I have this line come up from nowhere.

Check to ensure that your recordsource truly has 8 records. If it has 9, then that could be the problem. Any change a blank is being added somewhere?
