>By now you know that you can create these dummy fields as part of the view definition. The reason I am responding is to let you know that both cursors and tables are actually DBFs on disk. The only difference is that a cursor is temporary and has an obscure system generated name. If you do some testing on your 1.5M records and 500,00 recds tables as both DBFs and cursors the execution time should be the same because both are really DBFs on disk.
