>I have a question about the video drivers and the problem with the C0000005 Errors that keep occurring. How is it that this is happening only in Visual FoxPro? Is this same error what is happening in other Microsoft products such as IE 4 and it is just being more heavily masked so it does not appear to the user? For example I did crash a couple of weeks ago in IE 4 and since I have installed the C++ development tool with the debugger I headed into the debugger and tracked down the error and found that it was a C0000005 error that had occurred.

If I want to deploy Commercial Apps using VFP as the development tool I can't live with this type of an error. My tables will be getting corrupted fairly regularly and the End User customer is definitely not going to be very thrilled.

Upgrading NT 4.0 PanChinese over NT 4.0 US throws that error (you have to boot from floppies and reinstall to recover.)

VFP is a programmer's develoment environment. It comes down to a question of control. If the error is handled automatically by VFP the programmer has no control. You can trap that error and respond accordingly.
