You're not alone. My setttings are as follows: NT4 SP3, VFP 5.0 SP3
the textbox is placed top right on a page frame (usually displays usefull information about the record, as a reminder),

BackStyle transparent, ForeColor 0,0,255, FontBold = .T., FontItalic .T.

When clicking on the tabs the text from the texbox becomes bolder and bolder.
You are right that the problem is not common to all fonts. From the limited tests I made, I can say that problematic fonts are arial, Trebuchet and non problematic ones are Arial Narrow and Verdana.

Thanks for raising the issue. It kept bugging me since several weeks and I did not think in changing the font. Now I have at least a work around.
