But another thing that scope resolution operator is that (AFAIK) it enables you to call some other class code, not necessarily the same method in the inheritance line of the class which calls it - i.e. you can call grandparentclass::resize() from a grandchild's refresh. If this kind of call was automatically switched when I change parent class in the class browser, I wouldn't like it (at least it should put some comment where it would do the change).

I think it's great we have two ways to do it: call parent code (dodefault()) or call any class code (class::method). They both have their ups and downs.
