Hi, and thanks, Nancy,
The cursor table is already 'open'. Do you mean something else by 'open it yourself'?
The real issue is really that I can't see any tables at all in the expression builder of the report form at run-time. That's despite there being two 'free' tables already opened by the DE and the cursor that I created and added to the DE. There isn't even a table drop-down box in the expression builder like there used to be. So I'm a little confused and bewildered.
