Thanks for you response.

I am calling form 2 with a DO FORM, with several parameters. Some of the parameters are the control source for the data, and appropriate statements are issued in the init of form 2. The 2nd form has some command buttons and one of those could be set as a default, but at this point no default is set. There are also 2 text boxes, and the grid.

Form 1 has a private data session. The data session on form2 is the default. I received an email from Kenneth Soh,and he also asked about the data session type. I am going to set form2 to private, and see what happens.

An interesting thing happens when form 2 loads. Very briefly, it does display the correct data, then blanks out.
