I don't know, I've not moved my server code to VFP6 yet, because I'll have to change it. Right now it's based on Form and it pops up on the screen as a small window using it's BackColor as a status indicator. In VFP6 I'll have to make that a separate form that talks to the server to query it's status.
Also the server isn't multi-instance so it only ever needs to use it's one default datasession for the tables it's using.
If you have a single server that is used by several clients at the same time you might need a Formset to get Private DS but this is something I've never looked into. I know there are issues with this area, Rick Strahl has posted messages about it within the last year.
